Westringia 'Blue Gem'

This Australian native reaches a height of 1 to 1.5 meters and a width of 80 centimeters to 1.3 meters, making it suitable for feature planting, mass plantings, and native gardens. 

Thriving in full sun to light shade, 'Blue Gem' adapts to various soil types, including sandy and well-drained clay soils. It is both drought and cold-tolerant but should be planted in areas that avoid waterlogging. 

For optimal growth, water the plant as needed during the initial 8 to 13 weeks after planting. Applying chunky mulch and a slow-release fertilizer in spring can further enhance its development. Pruning 1 to 3 times annually after flowering helps maintain its shape and encourages bushier growth.
